![]() Delhi Daredevils recorded an eight-wicket win over unbeaten team Chennai Super Kings to go on top with a better average run rate in the tournament. Skipper Virender Sehwag led them with quick fire of 71 runs. Delhi continued their good run at the top of the order with a good opening stand between Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir scoring 115 runs. Chennai Super Kings came here with 4 consecutive win and won the toss and choose bat first. They lost Fleming early but started well with a good partnership between Patel and Vidyut put them a good position. Vidyut was top scorer for Chennai Super Kings making 54 runs. He got good support from Dhoni and Morkel and managed to get the team to a respectable total of 169. Chasing 170 runs Delhi needed a good start and we know both Delhi duo Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir have given good starts in past and they did not disappoint. They put 115 runs for the opening stand. Sehwag was the hero who made 71 runs while Gambhir made 50 runs. He is top scorer in the IPL making 224 runs in 5 matches. Delhi easily won the match by 8 wickets. After this match both team stay at top but Delhi have better net run rate so they will lead IPL with 2 other teams Chennai and Jaipur. |
