![]() Rajasthan Royals continued their good run by beating the Kolkata Knight Riders yesterday. They have now posted their fourth consecutive win with a 45-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders. This was Kolkata Knight Rider’s 3rd loss which have now put questions on their good start. Now Rajasthan Royals are joint leaders with Chennai on the ipl table. Rajasthan Royals, who won the toss and choose bat first lost Smith early. Mohammad Kaif and Asnodkar then began the job to provide a good start taking the team score to 53 runs after which Kaif was dismissed. Asnodkar made 60 from just 34 balls with a partnership with Yusuf Pathan who also played an excellent innings of 55 runs off 33 balls. Royals posted 196 for seven in 20 overs to give a big task to Kolkata Knight Riders who came with their key players. In chasing 197, Kolkata Knight Riders lost early wickets and most shocking decision to promote Agarkar put problems to chase big total. Sourav Ganguly and David Hussey offered some resistance with a stand of 71 for the 4th wicket partnership which provided some hope for them. Ganguly made 51 and Hussey 42 before they bowled out for 151. It was a good performance from Rajasthan Royals and Watson came once again as a bowling hero as he took 2 wickets. Now Rajasthan Royals have 8 points and joint leaders of IPL while Kolkata Knight Riders have only 4 points and they are on 5th position. |
