Kings XI Punjab continued their good form in the Indian Premier League as they recorded their fifth consecutive victory by six wickets against the Bangalore Royal Challengers to go level at the top of the table with Rajasthan Royals. Yuvraj Singh’s team gave a good performance in the match to take the joint lead. Kings XI Punjab won the toss and Yuvraj choose to bowl first, the decision from the captain proved correct with Sreesanth's double-strike in the first over. Bangalore Royal Challengers couldn't recover from the south Indian's good spell. There were five ducks in Bangalore's innings and were allout for 126 runs. Rahul Dravid provided the only resistance hitting 66 from 51 balls which give them a platform to put at least some score on the board. Indian leg-spinner Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers taking three for 25 while Sreesanth finished with two for 16.
It was an easy chase for Punjab, but they too lost an early wicket of James Hopes but Shaun Marsh again led the Kings XI's run chase as he and Ramnaresh Sarwan put on 54 runs for 2nd wicket taking them to the their 5th win in a row. Shaun Marsh made 39 runs from 34 balls which was top score for them.
After this win now Punjab is a joint leader Rajasthan Royals as both have same 10 points. While Bangalore will be stay at 7th place as they have only 4 points in 7 matches.
