Well it was a do or die match for both team since both have no points in IPL table since both lost their first 3 matches. Deccan won the toss and elect bowl first and it turn good toss win for them as they broke the Mumbai’s batting lineup and one stage they struggle at 55 runs for 4 wickets but some good knocks from Pollock, Nayar and Bravo helped Mumbai to put some good total on scoreboard. Nayar and Bravo’s 43 runs stand gives a hope for Mumbai but it was not enough for them. All bowlers did a good job for Deccan and RP Singh was hero as he gave 15 runs on 4 overs and took 2 wickets. This is first run chase for Deccan and they are looking for first win and started excellent with Laxman and Gilly’s high hitting batting as they both took on charge to Mumbai bowlers. They chase target without losing a wickets and register their first win in IPL. They create some records too. 154 runs stand is highest opening partnership and also Gilly hits IPL’s fastest century. He was on mission and hit 10 sixes. After this match Deccan have first win while Mumbai Indians are still looking for a win and now they have some problems as Harbhajan is suspended while Sachin is injured.
