Kings XI Punjab continued their dream run after a losing start in the IPL by beating Deccan Chargers. They won the match rather comfortably chasing 164 and beat the Deccan Chargers by 7 wickets. This was a big win for Kings XI Punjab and moves them to the 4th spot in the IPL. This was Deccan Charger’s 4th loss in 5 matches. Kings XI Punjab won the toss and choose bowl first at Hyderabad. Pathan gave the early breakthrough for Punjab as he took the in form batsmen Gilchrist with an excellent deliveryl. Laxman played well as a captain and made 48 runs. Only Rohit Sharma put some good runs on the scorecard and made 76 runs which helps them to put good total of 164 runs. Chawla bowled well and took 3 wickets. By chasing a big total of 165 runs, Punjab started well and Shaun Marsh provided a good start to them with Sarwan who cam opening with marsh. Australia's Shaun Marsh's knock of 84 from 62 balls helped the Kings XI Punjab to a seven-wicket win over Deccan. He hit 11 fours and one six in his innings. He put on an unbeaten 81 runs stand with Jayawardene to guide a third consecutive victory for Mohali team.
