Pakistans record-breaking run of 12 consecutive win came to an end on Tuesday with their worst defeat against India, by 140 runs in the second ODI. Praveen Kumar destroyed Pakistans top order whiched helped India to register the biggest win for India. Indian team is very young and they showed why Indians needed new and young players.

Praveen Kumar bagged four wickets for India which helped India to win by 140 runs in their opening Tri-series match against Pakistan. After winning the toss India choose to bat first and it was a great decision for them as the Delhi Openers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag provided a big start for India as both put opening stand of 155 within 22 overs before Gambhir was the first to be dismissed on 62 and Virender Sehwag follow soon after making 89 valuables runs. Half-centuries from Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh had helped India to a formidable score of 330 for eight in 50 overs. Pakistani bowlers were considering 15 wides and three no-balls against India, offences that contributed 29 out of the total of 38 extras.

In chasing a big total of 331 runs Pakistan needed a good start from their openers to have any chance. Soon they lost 2 more wickets in quick succession which was enough to put pressure on them. Pakistan's hopes slipped further away when Misbah-ul-Haq (24) fell soon at 94 for five. Indian bowlers gave a great performance. Teenage leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and young Indian seemer Praveen Kumar then took four wickets each to secure an easy point.

After this win India now will play to Bangladesh in last match before big final and it almost sure that India will play with Pakistan in final.

The Chennai Super Kings scored 15 runs from the last over to snatch a heart-stopping four-wicket victory over Delhi Daredevils. Manpreet Gony hit Shoaib Malik for six off the first ball, with a wide and an edged four which confirmed an easy win for Chennai super kings. It was the match of the IPL so far and it shows that in T20 any thing can happen even if you have big score on the board. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and choose to bowl first but it was wrong decision on batting pitch and Gambhir and Virender Sehwag began in positive fashion, completed 45 runs in five overs before Sehwag was sent back to the pavilion. The very next over De'Villiers followed but Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir put a century stand to help the Delhi team reach a winning position with a total of 187 for five. Gilchrist kills the Kings PDF Print E-mail

Deccan finally won a match after losing 5 in a row by beating Dhoni’s team - The Chennai Super kings by 7 wickets. This was the 3rd consecutive defeat for the Indian skipper Dhoni - after a 4 win a row performance. The slip in form seems to be mainly due to the foreign players leaving for international dutty. Such results from the teams at the top will help the likes of Mumbai Indians, Deccan and Bangalore who can now hope to qualify for the semi finals of IPL.  Stand-in skipper Adam Gilchrist led the team well and set an example after making a quick half century. Deccan Chargers won the toss and choose the bowl first, this proved to be the right decision as the bowlers struck early to get 4 top order wickets for less than 50. This ensured a low total would be set for the chase. Only Suresh Raina played well with a top score of 32 runs. The hosts set the Chargers a victory target of 145 from their 20 overs.

Chasing 145, Deccan started well with their two hard hitting batsmen Gilchrist and Herschelle Gibbs. They put on a quick partnership before Gibbs was dismissed for 24 runs. Gilchrist continued his good form and went on to make 54 runs in 36 balls. Scott Styris made an unbeaten 36 with Shahid Afridi chipping in with a quick fire 20.

After the much needed away win, the Deccan Chargers now have now 4 points and are at 6th place while Chennai have 8 points at 4th place.
